Once you destroy a network of traffickers in human beings, the former investigator warlord turned vigilante, Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise), returns to his former office militarily to meet with Major Susan Turner (Cobie Smulders) who assisted in the investigation, but learns from his old rival, Colonel Sam Morgan (Holt McCallany) that Turner was accused of espionage and was imprisoned. Turner’s lawyer, Colonel Bob Moorcroft (Robert Catrina), confesses that there is proof that Turner would be involved in the killing of two soldiers in Afghanistan, but Reacher thinks that everything is staged.
Moorcroft he says that an old acquaintance of his Reacher, Candice Dayton opened a paternity suit against him and claims that he would be the father of her daughter 15-year-old named Samantha (Danika Yarosh). Later, Moorcroft is killed by an assassin known by the nickname “The Hunter” (Patrick HEUSINGER), but this crime is shovel onto them and arrested Reacher’s turn by Morgan.
A few assassins trying to kill him and Turner, but Reacher manages to neutralize and escape with Turner, moving then to the house of Morgan because they are convinced that it is involved in the conspiracy and want to find evidence. Reacher and Turner are then some pictures of Samantha is supervised and concluded that it would be in danger, so she goes to her to take it and go to a private school to protect her, but realized that everything was set up for of finding it easier.
